GENERATION 11.2 – SECOND CHILD OF WAYNE VAN LEER

Isaac Guilford Van Leer was born 2/1/1851, Dickson County, Tennessee. Died 9/12/1934, Spur, Texas. Married, first, Flora Austin on 10/25/1876. Flora died in 1883 of typhoid fever. Married, second, Alice A. Poole.  2 children from each marriage.

12. Jessie Annie Van Leer. (1) Born 10/17/1877 in Bonham, Texas. Died in early 1960’s in Washington, D. C. Married H. Furrow, a newspaperman in Ft. Worth. They adopted a son.

12. Anthony Wayne Van Leer.  (2) Born 7/30/1880. Died 8/19/1967 in Floydada, Texas. Married 5/11/1913 Eula McAteer. Eula was born 6/15/1894 in Clarksville, Texas.  [Go to McAteer Family History.]  She died in a car accident on December 30, 1973 in Lubbock, Texas.  Wayne was a rancher and farmer in the Dickens area most of his life.

13. Anthony Wayne Van Leer II. (1) Born 3/27/1914 in Dickens County, TX.  Married Edna Colegrove.  Died 7/15/2003 in Yucca Valley, CA.  No children.

13. Mabel Doris Van Leer. (2) Born 7/25/1918 in Dickens County, TX.  Married Dale Aden Branaman. (See Branaman  Family Page Here) Dale, born 10/24/1919, is the son of James Aden Branaman and Anna Susan Jennings.  Mabel Doris died 2/13/2005. Dale Branaman died 2/17/2006.  2 children.

13. Nella Francis Van Leer. (3) Born 8/1/1921 in Dickens County, TX. Married, first, Don Edwin Crausbay in 1939; they had one child.  Later married Arthur Francis McLaughlin in 1948 and had two more children.

12. Irene Guilford Van Leer. (3) Born 4/17/1888. Died in 1970’s. Married 2/18/1906 Norman Nathaniel Rodgers (born 5/22/1884 and died 5/18/1936.) He was a cattleman in West Texas.  They had 3 children.

12. Mabel Van Leer. (3) Born 10/13/1891. Died in late 1930’s. Married Andy H. Rhodes. No children.
